Profile - Karen Woods
 
Karen Woods is a Registered Psychologist and held clinical membership with the Counselling and Psychotherapy Association of Canberra and Region (CAPACAR), a PACFA-recognised association. She is also a registered provider for the NDIS.
 
Karen runs a private psychology practice in the suburb of North Lyneham in Canberra.  Her previous work experience has included occupational rehabilitation, vocational assessments, vocational counselling, EAP counselling, Job Capacity Account counselling (JCAc), and the delivery of psycho-educational seminars and workshops to both government and private sector organisations. 
 
Prior to this, Karen worked in the Mental Health Foundation in the Psycho-social Rehabilitation Centre (The Rainbow), the Respite home (Warren I'Anson) and the Information and Referral Office in Phillip.  Karen also has over 12 years experience in the public service within a variety of roles including research, event management, statistics, publishing and administration.
 
Karen is naturally drawn to working with people and is passionate about helping them recognise their personal strengths and fulfilling their potential.  Her open and positive communication style along with her creative approach to problem-solving lends her well to today’s busy and challenging environment.
